We’ve recently received funding through the California Climate Action program for work with the newly established Wildland-Urban Interface Climate Action Network. WUICAN (“we can”) is a multidisciplinary team of researchers with the shared goal of co-creating knowledge and climate solutions that ensure a resilient relationship between society and wild landscapes.UC Irvine is the lead institution, along with UC San Diego and UC Riverside. Our lab is forming a new collaboration with the Climate Science Alliance, with the goal of supporting opportunities for local tribes and community groups to partner with universities and land managers to take collaborative actions around climate adaptation.
